My mind sets on its own journey,
swimming depths of oceans, enduring sandstorms in lonesome deserts…
My boisterous mind runs faster than me and goes farther than I reach
It pushes me to gather pace and chase it down the unending space…
And then, almost without warning, it stops to reflect.
It wants to see its darkest shades.
The hues of life have faded over time
but left their imprints on the walls, like an ancient decorated shrine.
Springing back in action, it comes alive;
Only this time..
it strolls in the alleys and lanes that had forgotten the color of daylight
It’s seeking answers that are waiting at the end of the mazes that the mind itself designed!
